Something special happens at the Adirondack Museum every day! Bring your family and experience history together. Explore the exhibits, watch a demonstrator at work or participate in one of the family programs that are scheduled throughout the season. Many exhibits include scavenger hunts and nearly all have discovery stations. Keep your eyes open for the "Try This" signs!

Reising Schoolhouse

Stop in our one-room schoolhouse to play with old-fashioned toys and make special craft projects that have been classroom favorites for generations. Find out what it was like to be a child in the Adirondacks 50 or 100 years ago.

Make Your Mark!

Discover lumberjacks and river drives, and take home a keepsake stamped with an historic log mark.

Cabinet of Curiosities

Learn to look at the Adirondack forest closely! Identify signs of wildlife you may see on the hiking trail or near a campsite — a feather, tracks, or scat! Examine skulls, stroke furs and pelts. Explore the wild world around us!
