Directions to the Adirondack Museum

From the South
Albany, Glens Falls, Lake George
Take Northway I-87 exit 23 at Warrensburg. Turn left off the exit ramp and turn right at the light onto Route 9. Drive through the village of Warrensburg for about three miles to Route 28. Stay on Route 28 for approximately an hour until you reach Blue Mountain Lake. At the intersection, turn right onto Routes 28N and 30. We are located on the left, about halfway up the hill.
From the North
Take Northway I-87 exit 29 and turn left onto the County Route 2, also called the "Blue Ridge Road". The museum is about 50 miles from here. Drive to the end of the Blue Ridge Road. Turn right onto Route 28N. Follow 28N through Newcomb to Long Lake and continue straight on 28N and 30 to the museum, about 11 miles.
Take route 86 west to Saranac Lake. Follow Route 3 to Tupper Lake. Follow Route 30 to Long Lake. At the junction with Rt. 28N, turn right. Continue 11 miles on Routes 28N and 30, the museum will be on your right.
From the West
Rochester, Syracuse, Utica
Take Thruway I-90 exit 31 to Route 12, north. Follow Route 12 to Route 28. Follow Route 28 through Old Forge, Inlet, and Raquette Lake to Blue Mountain Lake. Continue straight through Blue Mountain Lake village and take Routes 28N and 30 up the hill about one mile, the museum is on the left.
Take Thruway I-90 exit 27 and follow Route 30A North. Continue on Route 30A to Route 30, and follow to Indian Lake. Turn left and continue on Routes 28 and 30 to Blue Mountain Lake. At the intersection, turn right and follow Routes 28N and 30 for about one mile, the museum is on the left.
